CHARGING AT THE WORKPLACE

In addition to employee charging, workplace charging also includes charging of company-owned fleets and charging for customers and visitors. Due to the long standing and charging times, for employees during working hours and for fleets that can usually charge overnight, an AC charging infrastructure (normal charging) with charging capacities of up to 11 kW is usually sufficient to ensure an additional charge for the range of the next planned trips or even the complete charging of the vehicle battery.

    Legal Framework

In principle, the legal framework allows companies to set up and operate a charging infrastructure for employees, their own fleet, customers, and visitors without becoming an energy supplier themselves and thereby assuming the duties that go with it.

    WELMO SUPPORT PROGRAMM

With the WELMO business-oriented electromobility funding program, the state of Berlin offers attractive funding opportunities for the acquisition of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure for SMEs. Applications can currently be submitted, but a decision cannot be issued until the Berlin budget has been passed, probably in the second quarter of 2022. You will be redirected to the official announcement here.
